The Chic Company Outing

You are so bored, all the food tastes horrible and you cannot believe you came.  How familiar does that sound?  Most company outings fit under the “same old, same old” umbrella these days, and that is why I am reinventing it, in a boldly chic way, of course!

Here are 4 ways to add some excitement to a not-so-thrilling business event:

1.   1.  Stop serving hamburgers, hotdogs and bags of Baked Lays.  As delightful as those items can be, there are so many affordable options in this day and age!  So, instead, ask for themed menus or fun stations.  If you are having trouble coming up with something “different and exciting”…ask your party planner or your caterer!
2.
2.  2.  Add something unexpected.  Fun entertainment or a big giveaway will be remembered and welcomed.
3.
3.  3.  Don’t forget the favors.  After all, the purpose of the outing is to say “thank you” to all the employees for putting in hard work each year. But, remember,  after about a dozen company key chains, water bottles and mugs…why not revert back to the original party favor?  Goody Bags are back in style and you can make them what you want.  Be creative and use this as just one other way to surprise your employees.
4.
4.  4.  Keep the business-y stuff short and sweet.  It is necessary, but only to a point.  The CEO/President will look much “cooler” with less words.

If you are in the Indy area and are trying to find new places and ideas for a

Boldly Yours,
Lori
