I was inspired by a vendor meeting today and couldn’t resist sharing this amazing dinner menu with you. Need a reason to eat all this? Invite 8 of your closest friends over, pull out your beautiful china that never gets used (alongside the linen napkins, silver flatware and crystal glassware) and start cooking! I included a DIY centerpiece too….just because.
Hors D’oeuvres
Skewered Goat Cheese Balls
Maple Glazed Meatballs
Salad
Apple-Cheddar Salad topped with Walnuts and Sweet Balsamic Vinaigrette
Dinner
Wine-Braised Chicken with Shallots and Pancetta
Fall Harvest Couscous (I had to share this delish recipe since it's one of my favs)
Roasted Zucchini with Fresh Thyme
Freshly Baked Dark Breads
Dessert
Traditional Peach Cobbler topped with Vanilla Ice Cream (OMG - YUM)
Don't forget the wine for dinner and coffee for dessert. Here are my favorite places online to find recipes like these:
And for wine pairings...
Finally, as promised - How about this simple, sleek design for the middle of your table? But, for obvious reasons, replace the tomatoes with pumpkins or gourds and get rid of the Asian-inspired place settings. Replace those with the previously mentioned items that you pulled out of storage!
Picture from www.thekitchn.com - another great cooking resource!
Now...go plan your (mini) party!
Boldly Yours,
Lori
