We have been lucky enough to connect with these two fabulous ladies over the last several months and are convinced that they absolutely fit our Bold Business criteria.  Check out our latest interview with Sara...who serves as one half of this best friend team...

What sets sara&mallary apart from other photographers in the area?
Mal and I are extremely passionate about photography and creating personal relationships with our clients. We are friendly and fun and, being a best friend duo, we bring a very relaxed atmosphere to weddings. While we’re always keeping itineraries on track, watching the clock, getting family ready for photos, and planning the next shot, we never bring stress to our clients. Our goal is for them to have a perfect and easy day while we capture creative and inspired shots.

What is your favorite part about your job?
The best part of our job is being able to be creative for a living while meeting amazing people along the way. I consider myself extremely lucky to have a job that I love and get excited about. 

What recent project or client have you worked on/with that screamed “unique”?

We have a lot of really excited clients for 2011 but one in particular is extremely excited about her pictures...which we LOVE! Not only did she take me on a tour of unknown spots in Indianapolis for her amazing engagement session, but she also has a beautiful wedding in Mexico planned, followed by a trash the dress session.  Having a client so excited for photo possibilities gets us very excited as well. 

Where is your favorite place to relax and be inspired?
I get most inspired on my family’s farm in Kentucky.  Being on a farm that my grandfather was born on and that has been in my family for 150 years makes it hard to put my camera down...and I really don’t fight it. 

What do you both love to do when you are not behind the lens?
I love being creative. With an art degree, it’s hard to turn this need to create off. I spend a lot of my free time painting and drawing. I also love spending time with my husband and family, nestled on the couch with my dogs, being outside, and watching sports.
