Treat Your Aisle!

It is NOT a good idea to totally skimp on ceremony decor.  This the actual, physical place you are saying your vows.  This is WHY the day is so important.  And, that aisle you will be walking down before tying the knot?  Super important.


So, here are some reasonable and very fabulous ways to treat your aisle...

One of our very shabby chic clients, Emily and Matt, used these DIY bows at their 

outdoor ceremony in June, to create a rustic, effortless look down the aisle.

I love the way the Duchess and Duke played to the colors of Westminster Abbey and chose a red aisle runner.  Your runner doesn't have to be white or ivory! 

Be creative and think outside the box.  Forget the flowers, candles, runners, etc. for a minute.  What is YOU?  What do YOU love?  What do you WANT decorating your aisle?  

For a typical BCE bride...something like this might do the trick...

If flowers and candles are your thing...do it right.  Like this (but, really, you don't have to 

use THAT many petals!)...

However you decide to dress your aisle, keep these final thoughts in mind...

• The ceremony decor IS important
• Go beyond what is expected and make it personal to you as a couple
• Don't count anything out immediately because of cost...if you have a planner, they can probably help make it happen!
