Owner + Stylist: Andrea Martin
Established 2007 in Orange County, California
What sets Something Blue Stylists apart from other hair and makeup stylists in the area?
Communication and consistency. I know how stressful planning a wedding can be, and I always let my brides know that no matter what the issue, big or small, they can email me and hear back from with within the hour, not a day or two. Once a bride books with me, they are part of the Something Blue family, and I am here to help them in any way that I can. Not only that, they have the peace of mind that when they are booking with Something Blue Stylists, they are getting me, the owner, the big kahuna, the Queen Bee, and not just an assistant or a new stylist who may not have the experience and expertise that I have personally acquired over the past 8 years.
What is your favorite part about your job?
I get to make someone look and feel their best. I've had people sit in my chair and cry because for one reason or another, they are just unhappy about how they look. True beauty is on the inside, we all know that, but when I can help someone see THAT beauty reflected in the mirror, it makes my heart feel full.
What recent client have you work on/with that screamed "unique"?
I recently did a wedding where the father of the groom, a police officer and motorcycle enthusiast 'walked' his little girl down the aisle…on the back of his Harley! It was quite an entrance!

Where is your favorite place to find inspiration?
What do you love to do when you're not making brides beautiful?
I'm a wife and a mother of 2, so when I am not doing weddings, I'm a referee, nurse, chef, taxi, cheerleader, maid, teacher, counselor...and that's all before noon! I do take time for myself every day at the gym, doing yoga or pilates, to keep my body and mind healthy and centered.
